CHRIS NEWTON-EVANS - LAY DIRECTOR
Chris Newton – Evans is one of the new generation of Cursillista’s here in Bristol Diocese .She attended Bristol 2 back in 2001 which was led by many of our founding brothers and sisters. Since then she has served on several weekends and led Bristol#6.
THE REV'D RICHARD HOVEY - SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR
Richard is the chaplain to our leadership team, and an active participant at our Three Day Weekends. He lives in Corsham with his wife and teenage children. Having worked in the computer industry, as a local vicar, and for the Church Mission Society he now runs a business offering coaching and spiritual direction to organisations and individuals. His interests include sailing, skiing and scuba diving. He is keen to see all people become the people that God has made them to be.
SARAH SLARKE - LAY RECTOR BRISTOL #7
Sarah lives in Hullavington (nr Malmesbury) with her husband and 1 year old daughter. She made her Cursillo at Bristol#2 and knew that God really spoke to her through it. She has served on our Weekend team a couple of times, but this year God had a bit of a shock in store for her as he called her to be Lay Rector for Bristol#7! Sarah works for Nationwide in the HR team and fills her spare time by (among other things) leading worship at our church, visiting family and friends and every now and again singing with Avebury Vocal Ensemble.
MARGARET GREENING - GENERAL ADVISER
Margaret is a long-standing member of our community having strong links with both the diocese and deaneries. She is thus able to advise on matteres relating to diocesan policies, planned future direction of worship and organisation and Cursillo procedures.
POST CURSILLO CO-ORDINATOR
This role, currently vacant is ensuring that members of our community continue to meet regularly, they are properly informed and that their needs within our community are being met
GRAHAM SHAUL - SECRETARY
As well as producing minutes of meetings, Graham helps to ensure that agreed actions have been carried out. He also oversees the administration of our annual meetings that inevitably involving changes in membership of our Secretariat. Graham is an experienced Weekend team member havibg excellent organisational skills.
CHRIS WHEELER - BACC REPRESENTATIVE
Chris represents us at national events and policy review meetings whether it is voicing our concerns, celebrating our achievements or conveying new initiatives. Chris has been a member of our community for nearly 10 years and has led one of our Three-Day Weekends. She is a trained counsellor currently working with the NSPCC.
MARY ANN HIND - COMMUNICATION CO-ORDINATOR
Mary ensures that information about all if our community is conveyed to our community. A committed Cursillo evangelist, Mary is always ready to promote and live the principles of piety, study and action whereever she finds herself.
GEOFF WHEELER - TREASURER
Geoff looks after our finances and deals with returns to the Charity Commission. He has been a member of our community since 1999 and has held the posotion of Lay Director. Geoff is also a trained counsellor.
PRE CURSILLO CO-ORDINATOR
This position, currently being undertaken by Chris Newton-Evans deals with communicating Cursillo on a personal level to anyone who is interested in joining our community. This particularly involves dealing wth members of the clergy at both deanery and diocese levels to ensure correct awareness
